The polymeric jointing sand products used by Landscape Creations do not contain Portland cement and need less cure time. Washout. Washout occurs when the polymeric jointing sand is no longer binding or sticking together.

Concrete probably is still lower maintenance overall than pavers. You do have to reapply polymeric sand every few years. Concrete does, however, crack and it is hard to replace the cracked pieces without replacing everything. Polymeric sand is not meant to function like tile grout at all. Holes and pockets are part of the character of travertine pavers. If the stone is dry set and a customer wanted to fill all the holes in the stone then an exterior gradetile grout could be used..this would be incredibly labor intensive since the joints must not be filled...but it would work.
